The problem with Chris Duncan though is he is just another platoon option. We don't need another platoon option, the Indians would take or should take Jason Bay, hands down, but not get just another platoon option.KevinGillmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15307277576015487299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37446836.post-21211659556225959942008-01-27T14:05:00.000-06:002008-01-27T14:05:00.000-06:00How is Keith Foulke a power armHow is Keith Foulke a power armAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37446836.post-59102348203077723462008-01-27T11:31:00.000-06:002008-01-27T11:31:00.000-06:00i agree with most of this but if the yankees signe...i agree with most of this but if the yankees signed ryan klesko that would be a complete waste of money. they already have four potential first baseman in jason giambi, shelley duncan, wilson betemit, and jason lane. i know none of these four is a superstar but i mean come on ryan klesko is no upgrade over any of these guys.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37446836.post-18314366754047157732008-01-27T11:05:00.000-06:002008-01-27T11:05:00.000-06:00agreeed with secondagreeed with secondAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37446836.post-89972574259709747372008-01-27T11:04:00.000-06:002008-01-27T11:04:00.000-06:00Typical players coming into their second year stru...Typical players coming into their second year struggle, so seeing big numbers from kemp and loney would be pleasant.

In Eli's defense, he is just suggesting some of these things, not saying they will happen.

blalock is not bad...chipper is still good for a year or so. crede is not terrible. decent third base class.

the twins had excellent pitching in 2006....and it has all fallen apart. was there hitting and fielding that much better....not much.

i think you are just trying to find something to bash eli bout....find something better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37446836.post-68357580578700555822008-01-27T10:57:00.000-06:002008-01-27T10:57:00.000-06:00In your words, pitching is holding the Cardinals b...In your words, pitching is holding the Cardinals back, along with other things, like hitting and fielding? What?

In no world are the Indians going to trade Westbrook for Duncan. C'mon.

Nobody's going to be 'pleasantly surprised' with Loney's and Kemp's numbers. They're generally considered two of the top prospects in baseball.

2009 free agent third basemen class is terribly mediocre, with Blalock (bad) and Crede (back) leading the class. Oh, and Wes Helms.

Last, the Twins are rebuilding. Nobody can dispute that. Why would they even think about taking on Pierre's contract ('08 - $8M, '09 - $10M, '10 - $10M, '11- $8.5M)?

No sense, here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
