The Atlanta Braves are very close to acquiring Texas Rangers All-Star Mark Teixeira. According to executives on both sides, the Braves are in the process of deciding which prospects to give up and how much money they will absorb from his contract. With the deadline just two days away, the negotiations will probably speed up, and then sent to the commissioner for approval because of the amount of money being transferred. Teixeira is batting .298 AVG with 13 HR and 49 RBI this season and has also been rumored to be heading the Angels, Dodgers, and Yankees.
Where is the attribution? C'mon.
ReplyDeleteThe Braves really need this trade to happen
ReplyDeleteBraves have no Acquired Teixeira yet so you should really change the title to this post. There are so many different stories about this I dont even know what to believe anymore. Teixeira is not the difference maker for the braves if i was them I would not trade away the young talent for Teixeira, they could use salty in the offseason and try to get a proven starting pitcher. Go after Teixeira when he is a free agent cause we all know the guy will test the market
ReplyDeleteSteve Phillips on BT once again reiterating the Braves' interest in Millwood, as part of an expanded deal w/ Texas.

The way things are dragging, I wouldnt be suprised if we end up with Konerko and Garland instead of Tex.

ReplyDeletethe ammount of money "coveted" FAs get right now is ridiculous. Teixeira would be an idiot not to test the waters.
