BREAKING NEWS: Rangers Sign Sosa

The Rangers and Sammy Sosa have agreed to a minor league deal, with an invitation to Spring Training. Sosa batted .221 with 14 HR and 45 RBI with the Orioles in 2005. The deal was accordingly agreed to in principle and the incentives part of the deal is still be worked on.

I wish him well. As a Cubs fan, he gave us many thrills over the years. He made some mistakes but he deserves another chance. As long as guys like Bonds are still taking the field, why shouldn't he?

I hope he tears it up and hits 30 plus homers and close to a hundred RBI's he only need like 12 to get to 600 for his career I hope he gets at least that.

As a Rangers fan...this is upsetting. Never wanted a roids/corked bat user in Arlington. A sad day for Texas.
