A's Acquire Langerhans
Sunday, April 29, 2007
The Braves traded outfielder Ryan Langerhans to the A's in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Following the trade, the Braves purchased the contract of Willie Harris from Triple-A. To make room for Langerhans, the A's optioned pitcher Dallas Braden to Triple-A. Langerhans has struggled this season, batting .049 in 19 games, but Billy Beane must see something in him, like he did with Chris Denorfia, or he is just restocking his outfield for next season. Langerhans will backup in right and left field.

Langerhans is a great fielder at all three outfield positions, not just the corners.
Exactly.
