White Sox Resign Podsednik

The White Sox have avoided arbitration with Scott Posednik and resigned him to a one year deal, worth 2.9 million dollars. White Sox GM Ken Williams was disappointed at how the prices rose so much for outfielders that he decided to bring him back. Podsednik will bat leadoff but will have to earn the spot because outfielder Jerry Owens has proven he can hit leadoff. Podsednik batted .261 with 3 HR, 45 RBI, and 40 SB.
