Offseason Day 8
Monday, November 20, 2006
A new week has begun and a lot happened today. The Mets made the Moises Alou signing official. He signed a 1 year 8.5 million dollar deal. Nomar Garciaparra signed a huge 2 year 18.5 million dollar deal. I think this is a bad move for the Dodgers because Garciaparra has not even proved if he can play a full year. This could be an act of desperation from Ned Colletti, or maybe he truly feels he can play for a full year. The Royals acquired Jason LaRue from the Reds for a PTBNL. The Dodgers have reportedly agreed upon a 5 year, 45 million dollar deal with Juan Pierre. The Yankees have also agreed upon a deal with Mike Mussina for 2 years 23 million. And Finally, Alfonso Soriano passed his physical and is officially a Cub. He will make 17 million for the next 8 years.
Day 8 Recap
