Report: Cubs Resign Henry Blanco

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

According to ESPN.com, the Cubs have agreed to a two year, 5.25 million dollar contract. The backup catcher has been great for the Cubs and is well liked and respected in the clubhouse. He is a seasoned veteran who will help teach Geovany Soto and Jake Fox the ropes behind the plate. I think it is a good sign because the Cubs would like to make a big offer to Soriano, and will need the money to do it.
