Rays Hope To Sign Barrett

Although many inside the Padres organization believe Michael Barrett will be back, the Rays are "very serious in their pursuit" for Michael Barrett. Barrett was acquired from the Cubs and has till Friday to accept arbitration from the Padres. The only problem with the Padres is he will have to share time with Colt Morton and Josh Bard. With the Rays, he will probably have the majority of the time.
